Description

We are currently recruiting for two Trainee Guide Dog Mobility Instructors (tGDMI) to join our Shrewsbury Mobility Team.

These trainee positions are open to both qualified Guide Dog Trainers and unqualified applicants. Unqualified applicants will need to demonstrate in their application form how they meet the requirements of the Trainee Guide Dog Trainer job description, as well as that of the Trainee Guide Dog Mobility Instructor. If successful, you would be required to successfully complete the trainee Guide Dog Trainer course prior to starting on the trainee Guide Dog Mobility Instructor course. As a result, these applicants will start on the trainee Guide Dog Trainer course at Leamington Guide Dog Training School for the first 45 weeks of their training programme, until qualified as a Guide Dog Trainer. They will then start on the 2-year trainee Guide Dog Mobility Instructor programme within Shrewsbury Mobility Team.
